- Update Family is HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliant. Including HIPAA-compliant servers.
- Patient information is protected from malicious users or accidental consumption with multiple levels of identifiers including first and last name, birth date, admitted facility, and Pin (created and provided by the facility and unique to the patient).
- Only persons assigned by the facility as providers and registrars, facility administration, and upper-level management of Update Family have access to Patient names.
- Information may be collected by third parties during the real person authentication process.
- Information will be collected on users from Update Family and HOI, LLC which may include:
- Username
- Password
- Email
- Phone Number
- Address
- First and Last Name
- Birthday
- Collected information may be used to:
- Promote new products of HOI, LLC, Update Family and other Organizations under the HOI, LLC umbrella.
- Create profiles for user engagement.
- Inform the user of updates to policies, breaches in contract(s), breaches in security
- Update the user of new content
